Two Coffee Tuesday

Sooooooo, sorry for the lag in posting ... I've had an interesting last week and a bit. Work is still slow for me, I'm applying for jobs and hoping at some point something will take root. I'm beginning to wonder if my portfolio (and it's "Christian" content) has anything to do with the lack of calls ... in which case I would say "ppffffttttt" to them anyways, but it does make me wonder if people down here peg me as "one of THOSE" and leave me be ... I guess I wouldn't want to work for someone like that anyways, all things considered. Anywhoo, stuff to ponder. I am working on a website right now for a co. back in Canada, which is reminding me EVERY day why it is I choose mostly to NOT work on websites (they are giant pains in the rears). But I'm committed to the project, of course, so it'll get done. I spent the weekend cleaning my home and Andy and Laura came over on Sunday, which was super nice, to see them again. Today is supp...

WEBSITE

Just wanted to let everyone know, I've just finished updating my website -- whoohooo, so I invite you to check out http://www.inspiredcreativity.net/ and let me know what you think. I've been sending out resume's this week and to some find publications too, so, here's hoping and praying. Have a great weekend all! love, a. p.s.: One of the FUNNIEST blogs I've seen in a while, I have no idea who actually contributes to it, but it's hilarious... check out: http://www.shoeboxblog.com/ I seriously was "lol-ing" -- Andy -- me feels you will dig this.

Goodmorning!

I awoke pretty early in the morning today, (6 a.m. on the dot) and just didn't feel like going back to sleep. I had awakened from this bizzarly gross dream of trying to kill three cockroaches in my home with water and a plastic bowl and when I was started awake, I just didn't feel like closing my eyes again (go figure). I have NO idea what the dream could have meant ... if anything, but I can certainly tell you about my past couple days. On Saturday I took the train down to SD and visited with Laura and Andy and little Mira (!!!!) she is sooooo cute, getting cuter every time I see her little round face. Then Laura and I went to Balboa park and walked Caper (with the baby in tow). (Interesting and slightly funny and/or disturbing sidebar: while we were there, a possibly gay individual approached us and got talking to Laura about Mira and after awhile he looked right at me and smiled and said "Congratulations, you must be so proud." I guess he figured we were quite poss...

Canada Photo Album

For those who are asking (I know who you are) Here is a link to some of the photos from my trip to Canada! Yay!!! I've been busy since I've been back and I do apologize for not posting these earlier ... there's a wack of them, so I thought this the easiest way to share. Enjoy! love, a.

Back where I belong ...

OK, so Hello back from the American side of the Continent! My Canadian vacation was truly fabulous ~ full of lots of visiting and family, worship and song, new friends and old ... it was everything I could have hoped for. I even got to experience FREEZING cold (we're talking -42 wind chill) and lots of snow (blizzard and the soft big flake kind). I got in enough winter driving to last me the rest of my life. I had plenty of Tim Hortons all along the way and even got to experience a bit of Salt Lake City =) (My plane was delayed in Edmonton, I missed my connection in SL (sat in the airport for seven hours!) and so was put up for the night (got to the hotel @ 1am) in SL to go out on the first plane to SD in the morning.) I was pooped when I got home, and still had one deadline to complete that day for the county!!! But I did. And I have to say ~ it feels soooo good to be "home". Yes, I did say it, the elusive "H" word, which I never thought I could possibly use...
