Well, it's Wednesday

Well, it's Wednesday. The cookbook has been sent to the printer. I finished the Break Forth Brochure (finally -- after almost having a break down -- it's a long story) and I'm trying to just chill and catch up on my life. These last few days have seemed especially trying to my mental health. I don't believe I've ever felt so under pressure and bogged down with deadlines before in my entire life. Coupled with the fact that I haven't been sleeping particularly well and I'm in the middle of my "you-know-what-woman-thing" (I can't believe I just wrote that on the blog ... but hey ... nothing is barred, and it's relevant to the conversation) my state of mind has been shaky at best. I've found myself just wanting to "make the world go-away"... and I sort of did yesterday afternoon. I had taken the day off of JC to send the Break Forth stuff in to the printer on time, and afterwards was pretty spent. I did some kick-boxing (to get t...

Instant Recap

A little "California-Evening-Ambience" Hello Everyone =) Well, it's been a crazy week for myself, work is busier than ever I feel, but this last week at JC was especially nuts. I took Monday off to work on Break Forth Conference Materials (which, I am still totally in the heat with) and so, on Tues. I arrived to my "Corporate" Job with hopes that when my supervisor decided to take the last three days of the week off, I'd be able to Pow-Wow on my own stuff and not be so stressed out in the eve's of the week ... Oh, that and I had taken Monday off cause it was our Bands' photo shoot (see last post) and I didn't want to have to get ready for that super quick. Anyways, I got to work on Tues. and discovered that on Monday a HUGE job had come down the pipes -- our annual "Holiday Survival Guide" and, since my supervisor was going to be gone for the rest of the week, guess who's lap it fell into? Yes, mine. Not only was it larger than las...

A Sneak Peek

R-L: Mike (drums) Jay (guitar) John (bass) Amy (vox) Yesterday we did our "official" band photo shoot with Andy McElroy and his good friend (and amazing photog.) Peter J. Carney. Two talented guys! Here is the first shot done =) We all had a blast, tho -- you wouldn't guess by the looks on our faces.

Wow, I can't believe it's almost the end of another week. Time has not afforded me the luxury of being able to catch up with anything because, there is just simply not enough time. Keely flew home on Sunday (yah, almost a week ago!) and it was right back into working for me. Because we moved when she was here, into our STELLAR new pad -- with deluxe ocean views -- it felt strange to have the place all to ourselves. It almost felt like "moving" or I guess, "adjusting", all over again. We have these two windows that basically cradle the corner of our home, that look onto the ocean and it's where I've placed my table/desk w/ the laptop for now. I can smell the ocean from where I sit, and boy, I tell ya, I wouldn't want to have it any other way right now. I started the today running: the beach towards Oceanside and back. I didn't spend a long time, but I did come away with somthing, that I sort of pondered the rest of the day. I realized that God...

Keely's here!

Hello Everyone =) We have a house guest all this week -- Keely flew down from Canada last Wed., so mostly we've been hanging out with her the last couple days. Shopping and "beaching" and stuff. It's been warm here and increadibly humid ... which has made for uncomfortable sleeps ... but we're dealing. We've gotten into our new apartment -- which TOTALLY Rocks the other one! Keely helped us move in on Friday and this whole weekend I feel kind of like I've been on a honeymoon of sorts with it. We have a great Yucca tree (?) right outside our front window, and the coolest bright yellow and black bird comes and sits in it in the mornings ... we've been eating well, lots of fresh fruits and just enjoying having Kee here. Our first show (which was going to be on the 8th) has been postponed (boohoo) because the band we were going to open for backed out, for some reason unknown to us... I'm not too worried really, actually, when I think of it, I really ha...
