Crashing California

Well, tomorrow is American Thanksgiving ... Jay has been super sick for the last 4 days, but we are supposed to be going to a friends house for dinner. It's crazy what a big deal it is down here ... I mean, I guess it does make sense it is "their" holiday (as one co-oworker informed me today!) so I am going with the flow. And even though it is an American thing ... I find myself (at this time) missing family, I guess that comes with the "holidays" ... which are in FULL swing down here now. Work this (short) week has been CRAZY busy ... well, not CRAZY, just steady (which in JC terms is like hold the freakin' phone) it's nothing I can't handle ... though I "miss-slept" on my neck somehow last night and today I cannot move my head in two directions. Just like Television show's celebrate "milestone" episodes, I just noticed that this is blog post "200" It's also ALMOST our "2 Year Exodus Anniversary" coming Nov. 20th. So much has happened in two years -- I can only look back and be incredibly thankful So, I guess it only seems fitting that I begin this post with some good news about our "complete-California-conversion". Behold -- our new car ... which I have apt'ly named "Foxy" for reason's you'll see in a moment. We purchased our new Subaru through some strokes of blessings and coincidences (which, let's face it, are really blessing's too) It's a long story and I won't go into details but it was meant to be. I went to my first (and not last, BTW) food-photo-shoot with JC last Monday. hey all! I've had a busy last week (hence the absence of posts) and also today has been crazy, so this will be brief ... but I wanted to share some goodies. I guess Halloween has come and gone, it's an insanely BIG deal at JC to dress up for the occasion, and infact there is a contest between dept's for the best "group-concept" costume ... and well, to make a long story short, the marketing dept. was "a Trip down the Strip" aka, Las Vegas ... and I was a Blue Man (no kidding, pictures to proove it) and we WON =) (which basically just means bragging rights) Two girls I work with, Kaytee (left, brand assistand) and Brenna (right, marketing coordinator) were show girls.
