hey all!

I've had a busy last week (hence the absence of posts) and also today has been crazy, so this will be brief ... but I wanted to share some goodies.

I guess Halloween has come and gone, it's an insanely BIG deal at JC to dress up for the occasion, and infact there is a contest between dept's for the best "group-concept" costume ... and well, to make a long story short, the marketing dept. was "a Trip down the Strip" aka, Las Vegas ... and I was a Blue Man (no kidding, pictures to proove it) and we WON =) (which basically just means bragging rights)

Two girls I work with, Kaytee (left, brand assistand) and Brenna (right, marketing coordinator) were show girls.

This weekend was totally awesome nice on Saturday, and blustery and "fall-ish" on Sunday ... amazing what a day makes ...

and Today I got to attend my first Food photo shoot up in Orange County -- I wish I could have brought my camera ... it was really cool, can you believe they actually have "food-stylists" that cook and prepare the dishes, and spray them with stuff (it's all REAL food, just not edible in the end) it was a long day ...

There has been a lot of emotion for me the last couple days ~ it's hard to describe to someone who doesn't understand. If I ever wondered if HE loved me

So, I'm going to admit how pathetic and "of little faith" I can be with this post. Of course, there needs to be a bit of prelude-type explanation. On Nov. 20th my husband and I will celebrate a special anniversary -- 4 years since leaving our home -- the only one we've known in Sherwood Park, Canada -- and driving, with only our car, clothes and guitars across the border and down, down, down to San Diego, California. (that's 1751 miles south) Our reason for the move was to pursue our music, our mission and our dreams and just a new life, pioneers of sorts. It would take me many blogs to say how many times God has shown me his love through the whole process, from easy stops at border crossings, to precisely timed Visa interviews, to lenient border guards, to miracles in paperwork and finding jobs, it is astounding how He has continually provided for us, and continually strengthens my faith through circumstance. Studio Feb 13th . 2010

So this weekend we went into the studio, Ground Level Sound, in Vista, CA to track drums for our album ... we did four songs yesterday and began one today (Unwanted Man, shown above), but then our producers computer crashed (!!!), so we had to leave early (only one hour after we got there) and he is now in the process as I type of retrieving the files that were lost when his drive became corrupt =(, I feel mostly bad for him, as he literally had a whole month of projects in jeopardy. I've racked my brain a bit today as to why this would have happened, and I have no answers, we're a bit deflated but all the more excited about getting these tracks done. We don't know if our songs from yesterday are o.k. or not yet, but we'll keep you posted, if all goes well, we'll be back at the studio to finish up. Please keep us in your prayers, for the completion of the tracks and album, and our producer too, Alan, his father in law is in the hospital right now with a broken neck...
