HP OfficeJet 1660, my new friend

Today is a happy day =)

(this is what Jay is doing right now, and probably will be all night ... sigh ... anyways --)

Yesterday I finished the paper, and put it to 'bed' -- it's printed and done and that's that, but it's already onto the next one. It was my first go-round as the "a-soc. editor" ... it was pretty challenging, a total learning experience, but it was good, and I actually enjoyed it. I'm kind of paranoid now about mistakes in the paper, or someone writing me to tell me that my story about them sucked ... but hopefully that won't actually happen! lol

Anyways, today was cool, because, as you may be aware, I've been preparing my bid for Strathcona County contract (again) since it was up and over, so I learned this morning (deadline for sending in my bid) that I can't email it in, I need to send a hardcopy (suckie) so I'd have to make my butt down the the neighborhood Kinko's AGAIN and print off like 30 pages, and pay like $40, and THEN have to courier the darned thing (the county extended the deadline a week, just for me!) so I was like "ummmm, what to do" ... so I hopped onto "craigslist", the ultimate used shopping guide in the states, and low-n-behold, found a great little printer (selling price, $75) keep in mind, this baby is an All-In-One, printer/copier/faxer/scanner, perfect for little ol' me.

I showed up with Jay to this guy's office. He looks totally cool, like a surfer, turned realtor, crazy long hair, (really hairy arms, but who's looking) and I score this printer for (get this) $50!
I couldn't believe it! This thing seriously sells for like $300 new. Anyways, I was happy.

Tonight I think I'll make quesadia's and watch the sunset. oh, and use my new printer...

(k, I know that sounds nerd-julate, but whatever, all my geekie friends will understand)

Till next blog.. A.
