Where did the week go?

WOW, I can't believe it's Saturday morning already =(
I feel like the week totally slipped away from me, like an elusive little girl running out of my arms to go play, its' gone.
you know what the scary part is, I can't really pinpoint anything fun that I've done, and I don't have any pictures to share!!
My week was spent working, preparing a bid, sending the bid and worrying about it a little, although I'm trying to put that into God's hands and not freak out, I know that He knows more than me, and He will pick what is best.
I worked on the paper and the county guide ad section.
We had our bible study on Wednesday and had Laura and Andy over for Lasagna last night (my treat, turned out alright -- I do feel like everything I make here tastes different (aka not as good) as the stuff I made at home. Must be the altitude or something ...
Jay and I will be walking today to the "Swap Meet" they have every Saturday, I don't know if that's American for Farmers Market, or what, but I'll keep you posted.
AND! We'll start preparing for Jay's two of three sisters (Kee and Amanda) to stay next week for the week. I hope the weather is better. The last couple days here has been grey and foggy, kind of depressing, it's like being stuck in a cloud that decides not to rain and just hovers around all day...only to find when you wake up, it's socked you in even further. And what sucks even more about it is that about 3 miles inland it all disappears, so Jay gets sun and warm at work, and I'm stuck with monstrous grey....I know, I know, big freakin' deal right, that's the cost of living by an un-measurable amount of water.

hi funky girl, i was wondering where you were! what do you mean by a 'bid'? i will pray about that for u. are you still assigning stories and such for LLN? is jeff looking for someone to take your place, or do you plan to do this for awhile? i'm so glad jay's sisters are coming to visit! what a fun time that will be, and no doubt it will be great to touch base with something 'familiar.' i know what you mean about cooking... i have no heart to cook here. i miss canada and all of its conveniences! sigh. love you so much sweetie. em.

Hi Amy, used to have a saying in the construction world that, 'The bid opening', was like a poker game were the winning hand loses. Miss you guys tons.

So, I'm going to admit how pathetic and "of little faith" I can be with this post. Of course, there needs to be a bit of prelude-type explanation. There has been a lot of emotion for me the last couple days ~ it's hard to describe to someone who doesn't understand. After finding out that my dad that I've never known, is alive and has been looking for me, and after being found by a half sister -- worlds just are not the same.  The very person who's lack of presence has had a mighty hand in shaping the person that I am, is now is this strange half-shadow that is almost within reach, but still not accessible. My heart wants to scream sometimes (a messy mixture of fear, frustration and joy) but I know that I need to give him the space that he needs.  It's all so very messy this life, this love.  God has been the only father's love I have known -- but as I believe that God is creating great healing and restoration to my dad's soul and mine as well. Today I have a bad attitude. It's not even like I have a really good excuse, in fact they are pretty pitiful but I'll share. I have this pretty uncanny ability to wake up RIGHT at my alarm ... I'm not talking in the general vicinity of when it goes off, by 5 or 10 mins ... this morning, I literally woke up walked to my phone and my alarm went off, that's like 30 seconds early. So, you would think the morning is off to a good start. I worked out and thought about sitting on my couch with my warm and fuzzy latte in hand and got to the fridge, only to realize that my darling husband had used all the milk. This is not a big deal (or it shouldn't be) but we actually really had no real food anyways, no eggs, not even a bun or toast, so my breakfast hiatus from my day was thwarted. Never fear, I can get food at work - no biggie. So, work is work. I drive, I arrive. It's corporate, and now, thanks to our inter-office move, ridiculously quiet. And it's good, none ...
