Well, it's Wednesday

Well, it's Wednesday.

The cookbook has been sent to the printer.
I finished the Break Forth Brochure (finally -- after almost having a break down -- it's a long story) and I'm trying to just chill and catch up on my life.

These last few days have seemed especially trying to my mental health. I don't believe I've ever felt so under pressure and bogged down with deadlines before in my entire life. Coupled with the fact that I haven't been sleeping particularly well and I'm in the middle of my "you-know-what-woman-thing" (I can't believe I just wrote that on the blog ... but hey ... nothing is barred, and it's relevant to the conversation) my state of mind has been shaky at best. I've found myself just wanting to "make the world go-away"... and I sort of did yesterday afternoon.

I had taken the day off of JC to send the Break Forth stuff in to the printer on time, and afterwards was pretty spent. I did some kick-boxing (to get the stress out) and then just headed to the beach and sat there looking out over the water.

I know I am blessed, don't get me wrong. I also know that I'm supposed to enjoy what I do with my hands ... which I do ... but I also know (or at least, think I know) that I'm not supposed feel absolutely overwhelmed, over-committed and over-worked -- which I sort of have been feeling.
All of this has made me think about what I need to do in my life to have that balance of work and "me" time, and of course "God-time" too, which is the most important part.

It's so easy to neglect yourself by busying yourself with a whole bunch of well-meaning things, even easier to do that with our relationship with God. We can be busy doing stuff, even church stuff, and not have that quiet-rest that we need just reflecting on Who God really is. What an Awesome God He really is. And getting to know Him for Who He really Is. Something which I don't think we can ever fully do ... prob. not even when we pass on, would we know or understand the depth of the riches of who He Is.

I want to draw close to Him this week, and let Him fill me up ... that is my hearts desire right now. I pray that you can do that to, if for no other reason, except that you should know, He wants you to.

Till next blog ~ a.
