Wow, I'm so sorry that I haven't blogged in quite a while!! I really have no good excuse, in fact, I spent bits and pieces of this week thinking of cool topics I could write about but never got around to it because I didn't have the time ... so anyways, my apologies

I think sometimes I struggle now because life seems to be trucking along and I feel like I have nothing super significant to write about ... I feel like I have a bit of pressure to write about something meaningful to communicate to you guys =) But when all I have to share is the mundane-ness soundings of my week, it seems kind of useless to blog about it

This last week though, was eventful, it was full of inspiration ... my heart for songwriting is beginning to burn within me. I find myself wishing I could play piano more, and just let my voice go in song ... I think I'm going to need to have a personal writing retreat soon. One thing that I was able to do, way back when we first moved down, was just hang out, in the morning, play guitar and sing, about life, about God, about our experiences. I think it brought me to this intimate place of knowing myself and my dreams a bit more concretely. I would like to make a place for that again

A quick band update, I have been emailing clubs like crazy trying to get some shows in the works for us, it's been a bit of an uphill battle, but I am hopeful that pretty soon we'll have some shows. of course I'll keep you all posted

We went to my supervisors Birthday party on Saturday night, which was a blast. If you had told me when I first started that I'd be at her house 9months later celebrating her birthday with her family and friends from work I wouldn't have believed you! In fact, I prob. would have thought you nuts ... but it's amazing how far things have come within one year

It will be one year since I started at JC in March (March 17th to be precise). How time flies.

One little sidebar of information ... Jay and I went to dinner last Friday night at this cute little Mexican restaurant in the Village (not the fancy one we've gone to with family). This one has happy hour from 3:30 -6:30 pm, and we both can eat dinner for like 9 bucks!! We were finishing up our dinner and a gentleman with his wife was scoping out our table (since we'd gotten there early, we had a pretty good one) We got chatting a bit and on our way out of the restaurant the guy looked us both in the eyes and said "You guys are a cute couple, you should get married tomorrow" ... we just smiled and thought that was pretty cool. We must be meant to be together =) Who knows what this next week will hold ...

Till Next blog ~

love, a.
