If you ever ...

So, I think I am having the "after Christmas let downs" or something.

I was actually pretty happy that Christmas was over. We had a good one. Christmas Eve service @ North O' went well and pretty much without too many hiccups ... I was a lot calmer than last year =) We did a nice dinner at an Italian place Christmas Eve and got home and went to bed, to awake, make some good ol' fashioned bacon and eggs and open gifts from my mom (lots of yummy Canadian goodies) and from each other (mostly clothes) but Jay did get me a fantastic Shoe-organizer -- so he was using his noggan =)

We made Christmas dinner for friends who also had no family here for the holidays and ate and had wine and laughs and got to hang out with some very cool people. Then (for me at least) Monday hit.

And I am just feeling it. And here now, coming to the end of another year, you wonder, what have we really done, and what's next. I think a lot of our band, and how I thought this year was the year for our album release, but, God had other plans and so here, we sit, on the eve of the New Year (almost) still in anticipation for our release. I want so much to share our music, what we've created, sometimes when I listen to it, I'm kind of bummed that only a select few have heard our songs. I hope and pray that 2011 is THE year for release.

There is a lot of movement that needs to take place with the church we are at too. We've come through the season and I think it's time that we really focus on growing up leaders and fellow worshipers there. People who have a heart for God and for serving. We have carried that place for the last bit, but I think the new year needs to hold more for them, I am praying for leadership, wisdom and discernment for that big time.

Lastly, my job ~ oh, how easy it is for me to get frustrated here it seems. I think the bottom line for me is I don't generally feel challenged, and when I do, I get so angry at the process around here it burns me out. I know that I need to just chill really. I need to focus on being thankful for this job (which, I certainly am) but also start to think about how I am doing my job, not just how well I am doing it.

Today I made the little photo for myself, to remind myself to be happy, and to share joy here. I hope that you are able to share joy too.

Till Next Blog~ love, a.
