Our Anniversary Dessert at "Ruth's Chris" Restaurant

Ahhh!!! A quick update =)

April flew by, I was busy up the ying yang with freelance and other things ... our album was finally mastered (mid April) in New York City and is now complete and I am in the process of figuring out what's next, designing the album cover and graphics and such ... praying about what to do from here is strange and the process seems kind of anti-climactic at present.

Work at JC has been a rollercoaster, they have fired our VP of Marketing (ofcourse, they didn't SAY that, but that's pretty much what happened) and also the VP of IT ... it's a strange time in the building and for our dept. -- we were basically told that if we can't turn the ship around in 90 days, it's going to be an interesting space ... so the dept. is on situation critical, lots of changes ... lots of agency meetings (which I am NOT invited too) lots of feeling like I"m really looking forward to what is next for me, because though I did have my performance review (before all the poop hit the pile) and did get a raise (a much nicer one than my last of 8 cents/hour) I am still fighting the complacency feeling. The feelings that are killing my creativity and my time ... I am thankful to have a job, but there really is no room for advancement here for me, and I'm hoping that God has something up his sleeve for me ... either here, or elsewhere (the music would be so nice).

Jay and I celebrated our anniversary this last weekend and it was SOOOOO wonderful !!! I had won a certificate to this fancy FANCY place during Christmas (it was a karaoke contest at work) so we had $200 to spend, and let me tell you, we really did spend most of it!!! We then drove down to San Diego and stayed on Shelter Island for the night, then spent the next day cruising our old digs ... makes me remember how we had come here with hardly a clue and seem to have survived -- how Good and Gracious God really is!!!

So, that's pretty much the cornerstones of this last month -- my life will continue to tick away and I will try to remember to get up here a bit more frequently ... Some prayer items if you feel so inclined:
for our Band, that the right doors would open for us insofaras promotions, shows, exposure and that all that we have worked so hard for up to this point would Bless the Lord, and our band-mates and our hearts, and that we would be prayed up against temptations that may come.
Also for my work, that God's will would be done, and that I would feel content.
and that I would draw close to Him again, kind of feel like I've gotten so busy lately, there is hardly a time for anything, let alone prayer or reading or just still ....

I think that's it =)
Till Next Blog ~
love a.
