Here is a wee snapshot of some of the work that we've been doing on the home.   Everyday after work we've been going to the house ... going over walls, getting rid of bumps and drips and trying to smooth as best we can the paint that is there.

Brian, Jay's Contractor bud has shown up too, "skimming" the walls ... I think we are going to re-surface tomorrow and friday (if need be) which means this weekend could be priming and monday/Tues, COULD be painting (!!).

I'm a bit scared to paint, I think only because I'm a bit freaked I would screw it up, lol.  I'm sure it will be fine.

Seems like the rest of life needs to be on hold for now, even though that's certainly NOT the case.  Freelance work for me is still screaming along, I'm actually really busy with a couple big projects, so trying my best to stay on top of that because I know that this home and moving and everything else that it entails is HUGE ... So, thankfully JC work is pretty manageable.

Spiritually I'm feeling kind of dry, through no fault but my own.  I've been so busy that prayer and reading the word is the first thing to go out the window.  I had this dream last night that Jay and I were asked to lead worship at this big church and I hadn't prepared the set list, and it was like 5 mins till we needed to be ready and I couldn't find Jay, didn't know songs and didn't have keys picked (lol, kind of funny now-re-writing it) ... guess that's how my brain feels.   I really wish I could carve some time away and "stick my head in the pail" (thanks Mur for that expression) -- hopefully when the dust settles (literally and figuratively) I'll be able to do so.

Until then, it's go, go, go ... though I am wishing I could just slow, slow slow, lol. The really cool thing about doing all the work to our little home, is that I really feel like I'm bonding with it. Feeling the walls and cleaning to the degree we are -- it's giving me a connection to this little roof with walls, that I don't think I could get any other way =) I am thankful for that -- that and I think God really likes when we work and care for what He's given us. So, as we clean and prepare that place, we are honoring what God's given us too...after all He's trusted us with it, for now.

Till Next Blog~ love, a.
