the safest place
I really have been putting off writing a post on purpose. I think partially because DIVE was such a beautiful and really life altering experience, and then coming back is almost always a mountain top to valley moment that it was an adjustment ... one with some challenges so I kind of felt like if I burst the blog bubble with a post it's most officially over-- so, now it is, haha,in all seriousness tho -- I am back to the grind in every way. Working my "dead end" job (which I only call that because there's no room for advancement-- not because there is a lot else I don't like about it). Back leading worship at church ... and back trying desperately to fit music into my life. it's amazing how hard it can be to do something that you love -- and try to fit it into the grind if everything else you do. it needs to be intentional, and that can be difficult ... coming back from DIVE I felt so inspired, so musically full and now it's hard to even sit with a guitar. I do have clarity tho on my direction for music, which is something I definitely was looking for ... one of the things that really is sticking with me that Rita had said was "it's ok to go after your own dreams too" . and it made me wonder about my songs... the ones that I figured would never see the light ... perhaps it's time to un-cloak those.
One thing that def. really stuck with me is my quiet time -- since I've gotten back from DIVE -- every morning I have read the bible and prayed ... it's been wonderful -- the safest place for me to be :) I even put it before exercise ... I try to put it before everything I can, and Gods been speaking to me :). Reassuring me, leading me, providing me peace, and on Sunday mornings I find myself more and more in awe of this God, The Lord that shows me so much of His Power and might -- and yet desires our worship as much as He loves us -- it kind of floors me to be honest.
So there are better days than others but I am in the best place I think. Relying on Him first.
Would you please join me in prayer over my next steps with music -- that The Lord would make it very clear which road to travel down -- and that I would always take Him close by with me?
Till next blog -- love a.
